TIM RAINSFORD

Tim manages our Head Office based advisory team, supporting our expatriate and UK based clients.

Experience

Tim began his working life in Reinsurance in London and whilst there served as a member of a territorial army unit within the Honourable Artillery Company. He later moved to independent broking and the financial planning services sector, working in Bristol and, once qualified as a Chartered Insurer, established his own independent financial advisory business in Wiltshire.

The offer of job at The Fry Group in 1993 led him to make a change and join our UK based international team. In 2001, Tim moved overseas to establish our Hong Kong operation, recruiting and training the team and forming a strong professional network in the area. He returned to the UK in 2004 before qualifying as a Chartered Financial Planner. Tim is an Associate of the Personal Finance Society (APFS), a Chartered Insurance Practitioner and an Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute (ACII).

Outside of work

Tim has a large family to keep him occupied. He and his wife have a home in the countryside and to keep fit, Tim regularly runs with their dogs in the surrounding area and swims at the local leisure centre. Tim also plays the piano and composes for fun with the occasional entry to song-writing competitions.
