Debbie is our UK Personal Tax Manager, responsible for efficient tax advice and planning for UK and non-UK resident clients. Her core areas of expertise include UK tax advice for individuals leaving and returning to the UK and careful application of the complex Statutory Residence Test rules.
Experience
Debbie joined The Fry Group in 1999 as an Administration Assistant. She moved into a Trainee Tax Adviser role in 2001, moving up the ranks to become our Tax Assistant Manager in 2018 before taking up her current position in 2020. Her 20-year career has seen her develop a wealth of knowledge and experience in UK personal taxation, and over the last 15 years she has specialised in helping individuals in the airline industry with their UK tax obligations.
Outside of work
Debbie enjoys spending time and making memories with her family. She has found a new love for walking over the last year.
Debbie has a strong passion for the natural world and is always eager to travel when she’s able to. In her downtime, as a keen reader, she likes to get lost in a good crime thriller novel and is easily gripped by a good TV drama of the same genre.
