Doing well by doing good
As a global business, The Fry Group is making an impact on the wealth management industry. And we have the power to make a positive impact on the world too.
We want to measure our success, not only through our core purpose as a business, helping people achieve financial freedom, but also by how we positively impact society and the planet.
We have committed to three core areas that are most important to our organisation and the communities in which we operate. We are determined to evoke change to those around us, through the channels of diversity, the environment, and financial literacy, by using our knowledge and expertise to help others.
Diversity within our workforce
Specifically looking at women in finance, the percentage of female financial services industry leaders globally remains at 12% – a figure that exists despite a large number of organisations claiming to have diversity initiatives. Our aim is for The Fry Group to be a place where women can thrive, knowing they find themselves in an inclusive and open environment that represents these values. In September 2021, we pledged our commitment to help build a more balanced and fair financial services industry by becoming signatories of the HM Treasury Women in Finance Charter. Environmental changes worldwide
We know the devastating effects plastic and global warming has on our environment and want to support efforts to reduce the impact. Each of our offices across the five countries in which we operate, have the ability to create change environmentally in different ways and our teams are committed to doing so over the next year and beyond. We are actively looking at our environmental footprint worldwide and through daily change, working towards reducing our negative impact.
The benefits of a meaningful financial education are evident but there remain significant gaps in relevant, effective and evaluated provision. This is something The Fry Group are extremely passionate about. We believe financial education should be available for all ages and recognise that we have the gift of knowledge to offer, particularly to under-privileged areas of our community.
In 2021, we formed a dedicated Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) team who work to set goals and target for improvements in each of these channels, and integrate activities and initiatives into our business to achieve them.
