The Fry Group, a global financial advisory group who specialises in working with British expats in Singapore and around the world, is continuing to build out and strengthen its Global tax team with the appointment of Stephen Kelly as Senior Tax Consultant in Singapore.
Based in Singapore, Stephen will head up The Fry Group’s Asia tax offering, working with the wider team including local Tax Consultant Stephanie Chan, based in Hong Kong, Jasmine Ee, Tax Associate in Singapore. He and the team will also be working closely with The Fry Group’s UK-based tax advisers, strengthening the firm’s ability to offer specialised knowledge and experience in UK tax planning to clients across Asia.
With over 19 years’ in personal tax, specialising in residency issues and international payroll, Stephen’s experience will be hugely beneficial to The Fry Group clients as the business continues to expand its team and offer a dynamic and holistic service.
Stephen was previously UK Tax and Payroll Manager at Immedis, a global payroll and employment tax specialist firm based in Dublin, where he headed up the UK team responsible for delivering personal tax planning and tax returns, handling specific tax award schemes, and working with clients on residency issues globally. Prior to that, he worked for RSM Tenon (now part of Baker Tilly), working with private clients including Non-Domiciles, High Net Worth (HNW) individuals, company directors, partnerships and expats.
The Fry Group has continued to grow its tax team in key locations around the world to offer a truly global offering to clients. The appointment follows that of Gary Smithson at the start of 2018, who joined as Financial Planning Consultant in Singapore. The Fry Group has a team of financial advisers offering a range of different tax and financial planning services across offices in Singapore, Hong Kong, the UK and Belgium.
David Pugh, Director at The Fry Group, commented: “We constantly look to enhance the services we offer and Stephen brings precisely the kind of experience and understanding of the UK tax landscape that our clients need. With clients based around the world, it is hugely important that we can deliver a truly global offering. Stephen’s experience in specifically personal tax, payroll and residency issues will be a real asset to our business as we continue to grow our global tax team. We’re excited to have him joining our growing global business.”
“I’m thrilled to be joining The Fry Group,” added Stephen Kelly. “Their holistic approach to financial and tax planning is precisely the kind of service that I’m used to delivering to clients. They have a globally reputable, award-winning business that has set a gold standard in this market, and is one that I’m looking forward to joining.”
