It’s no surprise that when looking for a firm to help with your finances, you’ll encounter a range of companies who claim to be the best in what they do. So how do you distinguish one from the other? David Pugh, our Chief Commercial Officer, explains why we feel that awards matter.

In today’s fast-paced, noisy, global environment it’s clear that there is a lot of competition for almost every service and every product. As a result it’s extremely difficult to differentiate one from another – particularly when it’s associated with choosing who you might want to entrust the management of your finances to.

One method of benchmarking possible tax planning advisers is to consider the value of well-known, credible awards. Awards exist to acknowledge companies who measure up against a specific set of standards, or distinguish themselves from competitors in front of a panel of experienced judges. Ultimately awards offer credibility; a third-party endorsement of what a company does and how it does it.

In the last twelve months The Fry Group has been recognised with a number of awards including 4th place (our highest ever ranking) in FT Adviser’s Top 100 Financial Advisers; a significant accolade and one of which we are extremely proud. We also secured a record eight awards from International Adviser with our teams in the UK, Singapore and Dubai recognised as Best Adviser in their respective regions. Added to this success came the decision that International Adviser has chosen us for its top title of Best Global Adviser 2019.

We made the decision to enter some of the most well-known awards programmes just a few years ago – a relatively recent step in our rather long history! Since then we’ve certainly enjoyed the process by which we consider which awards to enter, and how we choose to respond to what the judges are looking at. Each award entry allows us to take a closer look at what makes us qualified for that particular accolade – as well as helping us identify any areas for improvement. And when we win the awards provide great feedback, allowing every member of staff the opportunity to take pride in our collective success.

Our recent successes, both on a global and regional scale, demonstrate our ongoing commitment to excellent service which lies at the heart of our work. They also reflect the quality of our advisers who work with intelligence and professionalism to create trusted, long-term client relationships.
